The Great DiscoveryTM is a Universal Law discovered by Dr. John Demartini through the study of quantum physics.
The Great DiscoveryTM of our lives is that we won’t receive mean, negative, reprimand, humiliation, blame, or challenge without simultaneously receiving an equal and opposite nice, positive, praise, honor, or support. We won’t have someone leaving without someone else arriving or someone repelling without someone else attracting.
No human trait is ever missing; it simply exists in a form that is not being recognized or acknowledged. Every human being receives a complementary balance of human traits outward from others and inward to him/herself to maintain a loving equilibrium. This equilibrating realization is The Great DiscoveryTM.
The Great DiscoveryTM awakens us to the realization that no matter what is taking place in our lives, the equal and opposite is simultaneously occurring. Like the inseparable polarities of a magnet, our lives always maintain both sides equally. All charges are conserved as nature maintains a perfect equilibrium. Love is the equanimity of charge conserved.
We require both sides of life’s coin to grow. Maximum growth and evolution occurs at the border of what appears to be opposites – order and chaos, pleasant and unpleasant, praise and reprimand, affirmation and negation, support and challenge, and peace and war.
We require both sides equally. If we are overly supported we become dependent and weak. If we are too challenged we become independent and strong. Both are essential and perfectly balanced throughout our lives. This law of equilibrium applies to our past, present, and future. If we look carefully and thoroughly at every moment of our lives this Universal Law becomes evident.
Our lives feel disordered when we overlook the balance. Our lives feel ordered when we acknowledge the balance. Awakening to The Great DiscoveryTM is becoming conscious of the ever-present equilibrium in our lives. It’s embracing symmetry, proportion and order. Identifying this balance increases our awareness, awakens our gratitude, and releases our feelings of fear, guilt, and victimization.
